| What did you get for Mothers Day? | | Well another Mothers day has come and gone and it was the same old same old. My family always seems to be out of money on mothers day. So I don't really get anything. I have three kids ages 5, 3, 1. While the 5 year old goes to school she did bring me home a card that she made and a small button with her picture in it. I love it! But it seems as though every year I don't the same thoughtfulness that I put into fathers day. I got up with the kids, I folded 4 loads of laundry, I bathed all the kids, we had lunch, then I got to shower. I didn't even get a card from my husband. I already got my husband his gift for fathers day nothing spectacular but something thoughtful. It is a plate that I painted with the kids hand prints on it and the date and their names next to the hands. I also plan on having the kids make something for him. Did anyone else not get anything? | |
| | how was your mothers' day? | | well, we planned on going out twice and failed. day before mothers' day and exactly on that day. either my son fell asleep at home (nobody wakes up a four year old unless you want your day ruined) or it is work-related on my husband's part. their radio station would be covering the philippine national elections the next day.on my husband's way home yesterday i just asked for a starbucks cappuccino. he brought home a tall tumbler and...didn't request for a soy milk as the additive. i spent the remaining night either in the bathroom or awake in the bedroom unable to sleep due to stomach pains. he bought a cake which lasts only today as the expiration date is tomorrow. it's a big cake and i have to give half of it to the one who delivers our filtered water here.such a waste of money. but then again, he tried. how was your mothers's day. | |

| | | Happy Mothers' Day!!! | | Here's to all the mothers out there and especially to my MOM who has done so much for me. All the little things count- like the times when i was a kid, i wanted barbie dolls and accessories for it, my mom got it for me. My brother wanted cars called hot wheels (the brand that made the cars) she got one for him almost every month. He still has a huge collection now. There was a time when we used to worry her for chips, so literally every evening she gave us money to buy them. She didn't wanna deprive us of anything as she was an orphan and missed out on so many things. That's how selfless she was and is. My dad was strict when it came to money matters so we got only the basic stuff but my mom was always there to pamper us. My aunts used to tell her she was spoiling us but all she ever wanted was for us to be happy!! My mom has always been special to me and though I can't express it to her, I have always admired her. So here's to you mom- for all your love, sacrifices and care you showed us!!!:-) | |
