| | What's your take on cell phones and ipods in the classroom? | | There is a rule mandated by the Board of Education of New York City which states that students are not allowed to use cell phones or ipods in the classrooms, yet teachers allow it all the time! And when you try to follow the rule and confiscate either item from a student, he or she immediately goes to the principal and complains. One such incident occurred in my fiancee's school. The student complained that it was not fair that his cell phone was taken and he would not get it back until the following week, as per the teacher's rule. The principal gave it back to the student because he claimed he needed it for work. Now the student knows that he can get away with following the rules. He will then tell all his peers and they will do the same. What's the point of the rule if the schools won't enforce it? | |
| | New iPods/iPhones, And Old Computers | | One more in my endless stream of iPod/iPhone questions. I was wondering about something else. What if I Sync a new iPod touch with my computer, and then my computer falls apart, and i get a new computer? If I want to add or remove songs from my iPod touch, will it affect the entire iTunes library on the iPod? My computer is very close to literally falling apart, and although the inner hardware and software work just perfectly, the physical structure is not long for this world. Anything else I should know about old ipods and new computers? | |

| Are you not buying iphones or ipods etc because of macintosh? | | back in the early 90's i was bought a computer that was an macintosh/apple and it was a nightmare to use! it was just an overly priced piece of crap and then 10 plus years later i worked with imacs and they werent horrible but not better than any other pc in my opinion (unless i guess maybe graphics editing or something from what i hear) so when the whole ipod, iphones and ipads came out i was like "oh no".. i admit i want an iphone but do not want anything to do with that company in fear that their crappy and fickle technology will not be better in that and not to mention it wont work with my cell carrier.. the ipods i find a total waste of money and bought an mp3 player for like a 1/4th of the price and very happy.. the ipads i dont know enough about to know if i even want one but all i know is that i dont want anything with apple or mac but yet the iphones look so cool.. i got a blackberry instead but its been a piece of crap (the model has a lot of probs) but i just cant get the fact of who makes them out of my mind..have you avoided buying an item because of its brand association? even though they are all the rage or something that... | |
| | Questions About iPods, And iTunes | | I was wondering about something. As most of you know, I am contemplating getting an iPod touch. I was wondering about synchronizing my iTunes with my iPod. When I do it, does it automatically copy every song from my music library into my iTunes, or can I pick and choose the ones I wish to load into my iPod?Also, can I add and delete songs after I've added a batch, or do I have to start all over?And what if I put new songs into my iTunes after initially load my iPod? Does that wipe out everything I've already added? The mp3 player I'm using now is a little generic thing I got free at a conference, probably worth about $15, with room for about 50 songs in it, but it's pretty nice for now. Heck, it was free. I like it, because it's just a "drag and copy." No synchronizing, nothing. It's very simple and logical. How easy is it to load an iPod? | |

| What equipment do you use to listen to songs like ipods,cell phones,laptops etc? | | In today's fast world we hear to songs when ever we get time.This is possible only due to the technological development. There are a number of equipments which you can use to listen to songs.
It can be players, ipods, cell phones,laptops and so on and on. You need not be in some particular place to hear to songs. you can even hear when you travel.What equipment do you like to use to listen to music?I mostly prefer ipods since I have loaded my favourite songs list in it and it is very convinient for me to access any where.Next comes my laptop or desktop.

| ipods and the armbands | | hi guys so i want to buy an ipod and an armband to work out any recommendations? i currently have an ipod video 80gigs but it was a christmas present about 2-3 years ago but i've barely touched it. i want to buy an ipod now that has an armband now so i can actually use it. i've gone through the apple website and read almost all the reviews on all the armbands but most of them were mixed so have any of you guys bought one and like it? which ipod is it? and do you happen to remember what the armband was called? any help at all will be appreciated. thanks. | |
