Discuss holiday items, ideas, and cheer!| All stores that sell cosmetics should have this | | I was at a store today, waiting for medication to be filled when I wandered into the cosmetic section. While walking up and down the aisle, I noticed that the L'Oreal section had this little clear card with shades of their face powders on it. You're suppose to put your wrist/arm/hand under it and whichever shade blends into your skin color, that's the shade for you. I found my shade which is amazing! I've heard of this cards, but I've never seen them in my local store. I have wasted so much money on trying different shades that blend perferctly into my skin tone and I've only lucked out with a two- and both are extremely expensive. I think every store that sells cosmetics should ask the cosmetic manufacturers to supply cards like that. It would make shopping for makeup so much easier and quicker. It won't be like guessing and tossing your money up in their air hoping it was worth it. What do you think? Has anyone else seen these cards in their local stores? | |
| | Fake Cosmetics Prolifirating the Online Market: Pretty Scary! | | Hi mylotters,after several emails back and forth I was able to persuade the seller who was about to give me a fake mac to give me a refund (story on the other discussion I posted I got faked!)yehey! So I started to scout online for products such as NYX and Coastal Scents. I am subscribed to Makeup Geek. com ( i'm not promoting the site) and I have corresponded with Marlena the site admin and who does the makeup tutorials, I was able to get some very good information about spotting a fake Mac and as well she recommended an online store that sells authentic products. I like Marlena because if you have questions she answers right away and is not selfish in giving you the right information.I also went through her archives and found her review on the coastal scents products. Well, I love Mac but it's hard to buy this brand of makeup from where I am and gee the internet is polluted with fake products! | | Do women really need cosmetics to make them look beautiful? | | Is the cosmetics, and make up really needed? Aren't women naturally beautiful? Do they do it to increase their beauty?
Why is it needed? If something is already beautiful, would you try to make it more beautiful, and by doing so, spoil the natural beauty?Everything has a limit, and so does beauty. Many people try to add more makeup, and spoil their skin, for example the actresses, when they get to 35-40 years, you cannot see their faces without makeup, but actually, their face would have been better if they dint use the makeup.
Forget the movies and actresses, My question is why does the normal women, need makeup, when they already look beautiful?h fake products! I love the colors and the things that I have seen they do with it, but some of it can be a tad bit too bright. | | i love cosmetics! | | One of my favorite hobbies and hopefully it will a career soon. cosmetics has been serving women especially for centuries. Beauty icons has come and go became great examples of wearing makeup. I believe and i know a lot will agree that the purpose of make up is to enhance what is within us already. It should not be a replacement for what is not there in the first place. Those make up creation that are extremely for advertising purposes that we see on tv are part of art. what i'm talking about is everyday wear. Is it time consuming? Do you have to book parties or do you get your sales just from book orders and website sales? Do you have your own website for selling or do you use the same site as other Reps?
