| | I went a little crazy yesterday. | | I don't know what got into me yesterday but I went on a total cleaning frenzy. It started when I put the metal step ladder that is in the kids' bathroom and soaked it in bleach water. That step ladder was nasty. Any way I cleaned the house top to bottom. Got all the grubby handprints off the walls, cleaned the base boards, scrapped gunk that was stuck to the ceranmic tile floor and so. I was sweeping the fire place hearth looked in the fireplace and thought "I bet that fireplace has never been mopped." No i did not mop it. But this week I cleaned ALL the closets and today I sanded the kitchen table and re-varnished it. I think I'm done cleaning now. | |

Well last night my little boy was off to my ex'x house, for the next couple of weeks.. Last night I felt rather lonely.. First time in years that I have been home by myself; either had my son, my other half, other family or friends with me...Well thats over, loving it!! When you are cleaning your house with men and/or children in the house... You can have an area completely cleaned up top to bottom.. white glove clean.. then turn around to do one thing and turn back around and said, I JUST CLEANED THAT!! A couple months ago I moved into my own place, it had been siting empty for over six months so there is a lot of dust and spider webs that need attention! Now I can get all of my cleaning project done... And even take a break without anything being moved so I can not find it later...LOL Right now its break time, having some left overs, and go go juice.. coffee[em]lol[/em]With my cleaning I learned something new today... You know all of those mystery black strecks that you get on your white walls; and nothing seems to get them off.. I found a solution.. well my god mother told me that it was good for crayon mark.. | | Mom isn't acting like One (LONG RANT) | | Sorry guys, this is super long winded, but I need to rant like you wouldn't believe.I don't know what to do anymore.A little under a year ago, my mom called me all in a panic because she was asked to take on another janitorial contract in addition to the one she already had. She couldn't exactly turn it down because chances are that the company would hire on a janitorial company that could handle both, instead of paying 2 companies to come out. Since I had just split up with my longterm boyfriend, and was unhappy with where I was in life, she figured I should come home to help her out and she would pay me to work for her.She asked that I pitch in around the house, cleaning up after myself, making dinner, etc, and that she wouldn't ask anything from me for rent or bills, but just to pitch in for food and the like.So for 6 months I worked about 15 days on, 4 days off, 10 hours a day, had no life outside of work and home, and saved every penny I could to go backpack Europe. The deal worked out pretty well for her, too. She charged double the amount per hour that she paid me, so for every hour that I worked she made $20 minus deductions and didn't have to leave the... | |
| | Need some advice... or at least some opinions. | | I have someone who I have been pretty close friends with for a few years now; lately I have been trying to figure out if I should just completely disassociate myself with her. She was recently living with my roommate, my fiance', and myself. Before she moved out some money went missing, 70 dollars actually. I know it wasn't me, it wasn't my fiance, and it wasn't our roommate because it was our roommate's room where it went missing from. This was rent money so all of us had contributed to the money. Our roommate always let's us use his computer which is in his room, so all of us had access to his room. Nobody had come to visit in the few days between the time we counted up the rent money and the time that we went to pay rent. She denies it was her. Also, a mutual friend of ours also confirmed with me that around that time she all of a sudden had money immediately after complaining she was broke and didn't get paid 'til the end of the week. Also, she was going to buy something from me on her payday for 80 dollars and the thing that I was gonna sell to her went missing shortly before her payday. I have searched the house top to bottom and it's not here, and I know I didn't take it... | |
| | has anybody here ever lived through an earthquake? | | I grew up in Los Angeles and lived through a few big ones.The 1971 Sylmar quake was my first experience. I remember being shaken around (top floor of a 2 story house, top of a bunk bed), no school that week, picking up fish and putting them in a bucket after the fish tank crashed, broken brick walls between the houses and lots of casualties at 2 hospitals in the area.The 1994 Northridge quake was the other big one. I woke up to a loud boom and ran for the door frame. Richard kind of got up and sauntered over but when it really started shaking, he ran. We didn't have much damage other than a cracked patio in the backyard, but a few streets over there were block walls and chimneys down everywhere. About a half mile away there was an apartment building that had collapsed inwards. And for years afterwards we could drive by buildings that still hadn't been repaired.Not fun! | |
| | Been A VERY busy week....can I go on vacation now? | | The past week has been so hetic! Between covering different stores, working my store, keeping up with the house work, keeping up with Kat, and everything else. I have had to work my store and cover shifts at other stores as well, I took 5 hours to redo my entire cooler, and cleaned up everything in th store. (I really need a raise) Cleaned my house top to bottom including Kat's room (I was afriad of getting bit!) And did every stich of laundry in the house. I got a new toy! I finally got a PS3 and have only been able to play it like an hour out of the 4 days I have had it now lol. And I just checked the mail and got in my red swvorski crystals i have been waiting for so I can make a new necklace set!!I SOOOOOO need a vacation after the week that I have had. Ever have one of those weeks that you just can't wait for your next day off? Mine isn't until wednesday and that is a maybe at this point! Have you ever REALLY needed a vacation? | |
