| | Lots of shrimp plus vitamin C= bleeding? | | I heard of this some days ago, that eating lots of shrimps and consuming vitamin C at the same time would cause the bleeding. Not clear if it was internal bleeding.
The information said that some substance in the shrimp would cause the bleeding if it was mixed with vitamin C.Can anyone clarify this?

But there are people who are allergic to it mostly it happens to people who eats Shrimp. For me, no allergies when it comes to seafood's just the proper way to cook it and the flavor will come out if chooses the right seasoning.

I will be cleaning my shrimp and waiting for some help here. I would also like to know do I cook my shrimp in the sauce or put it on the shrimp. I have not read the jar yet. I know how backward can one be.
| | Shrimp! | | I don't normally cook with shrimp very often due to the cost of it, however I just had to buy some this weekend when I realized just how healthy it was! Naturally fat free, and no carbs, but it's jam packed with protein! What more could you ask for?So the other night I made a healthy pasta dish using a low-fat parmesean sauce, whole wheat pasta, veggies, and shrimp. It was so good I thought I was eating at Olive Garden! I've decided I'd like to make shrimp dinners more often, but will have to look up some healthy recipes, because the only way I've eaten shrimp in the past is deep fried or drowned in butter! How often do you cook shrimp at home? Do you have any favorite, healthy ways of preparing it for your family? | |
| | green..... prawns/ shrimp... | | I just love Seafood and here I go, we in Australia must have the best anywhere in the World. The Seafood here is/ lives in some of the cleanest water in the World. There is a different taste to it than Seafood from elsewhere.Bragging done,Prawns/ Shrimps as some of you know them by. How do you cook them?Me,
I boil water,(SOMETIME ADD SOME SALT), then add the GREEN PRAWN/SHRIMP (RAW is GREEN) to the water,
Let the water come to the boil again and wait maybe 2 minutes on the boil,
Then remove the seafood from the boiling water and straight into cold/iced water (This stops the cooking and the seafood going like rubber to eat). Then its into eating them, so YUM.YUM.YUMHow do you do it?HICCUP/
