Could You Cope Being Alone At Christmas?
Firstly a very Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas/holidayChristmas I guess is a time for being around people and having your family around you and enjoying time together. But what if you don't have family or you don't have anyone to celebrate Christmas with, do you find it difficult if you have to spend Christmas alone?Have you ever had to cope with Christmas 'home alone' spending Christmas Day all on your own?Was it through your choosing or was it because you simply had no one to share it with? Can you envisualize spending Christmas alone? If you have never spent Christmas aloneOr if you have spent Christmas alone how do you find it? Not everyone has a loving family, partner or people to be with at Christmas and I guess it must be hard seeing others celebrating and being together when you have no one to wake up to or be around.I guess you can cook Christmas dinner for one, have the television as company, have a few presents which you have been given by friends or work colleagues to open, albeit on your own. There is of course the telephone and now with technology being so advanced the computer has many ways of...

Do you ever feel Blue during the Christmas Holidays? What do you do about it?
[em]happy[/em]Sometimes I find myself feeling a little blue during the Christmas holidays. My Daddy died on December 18th in 1997. I still have a hard time getting through some days as the date approaches. I try to stay busy and now that I have a 4 year old grand daughter, it helps with the feeling of depressions and the blues. My ex-mother-in-law is having a hard time dealing with Christmas. My ex, her only child, died in April of this year and she is not acknowledging Christmas. All I can do is invite her to be with our family. Have a safe and wonderful Christmas. God Bless You All.[em]happy[/em]
What meat are you cooking for Christmas Dinner?
What is your main Christmas meat going to be? Do you always have the same? and if you are vegetarian do you cook meat for others but have vegetarian meal yourself?I am not vegetarian and no one in my family is so this does not apply to me.Every Christmas dinner we always have a turkey. The only variety is whether we have a frozen one or a fresh one. This year as last we are having a fresh one. Some people cannot tell the difference but I think you can tast the turkey more, a lot more flavour instead of water from it being frozen.I have already ordered our turkey from the supermarket as they say they are going to be in short supply this year although they do say that every year.Anyway whatever you are having I wish you a happy meal and wonderful Christmas.

He Lives in Our Minds and in Our Hearts
I remembered John Denver very well. I love his singing style and they way he conducts the Miss World and Miss International pageants. He had wonderful Christmas shows and he was super people friendly. It is sad that he is no longer among us. He died wile piloting a plane somewhere in the USA. Bless his soul.I love so many of his songs. The top song in my list is Annie's song. Then there is my second favourite Country Roads. 'Sunshine on My Shoulders' and "Sweet Surrender" brings back memories when I was in the varsity. Do you like John Denver songs. Which are your favourites?
I think my house blew up!! LOL
I have had company staying for a week now. Yesterday my son and his family joined us for a wonderful Christmas celebration! We had a ball! Played bunco and boggle..opened gifts and had a big ham dinner. My daughter and her family are leaving tomorrow. The house looks like it blew up! There are so many packages...and other things laying around that you can hardly walk through a room. But it's been wonderful! How is your house looking after the Christmas celebration?
