| I know I am late saying this but Happy Mothers day all you Moms! | | I wanted to write this the day before mothers day in tribute to all the wonderful Moms in the world! I have always been blessed with great mother in laws, I guess cause I never knew how good a mother can be. My mom God bless her soul was as mean as a snake most of the time. None of us could go up and ask for a hug or a kiss from mom. I guess it was cause she was so miserable having a lot of children before she was very old. So she got mean early! But I still love her! Now all my mother in laws was always sweet and kind to me. To this day even though I am not with their sons anymore I can still talk to them and nothing ever hateful said or done. But I really hit the jack pot when I got my new mother in law! The day after Mothers day she (70 years old) took the time to color my hair (and I have pretty long hair) it took her 6 hours to get it to look like it is natural. She really worked her bottom off trying to make sure I would love it. My husband did some weed eating and cleaning out the weeds from her flower beds. She brought us lunch that day. | | How was your Mothers Day? | | My kids are so awesome! My oldest daughter and her family came to visit and brought me gorgeous flowers and a tasty cake! My son and his new wife came later and brought me more beautiful flowers and we went out to eat at a nearby seafood restaurant that I love. | | Do you really need a mothers day to remember your mother? | | Sunday was Mothers' Day and there was a hash of publicity around it. And I wondered what was the fuss was all about - I don't recall seeing so much publicity behind Mothers' Day earlier.
Do you really need a mothers day to remember your mother? And then what about the remaining 364 days? There are days for other family members as well celebrated in different parts of the world.
Don't get me wrong - I have no problems with celebrations and if it reminds you to think of your near and dear ones - great.I remember my mother everyday and love so much.
