Discuss holiday items, ideas, and cheer!| replace ipod | | I have an ipod (3rd generation) and I am thinking of replacing it with the new Microsoft Zune HD instead of a new ipod. I do not think that ipods are of superior quality when compared to zune or other top brand mp3 player. On more thing that ipod lacks is the support for radio. Do you think zune hd can replace ipod touch as the "to go" mp3 player in its class?

This is priced lesser than the ipod for the competion to catch up..
Heared it has got its own Microsoft tune store for songs purchase..
But i will still go with iPod rather than the Zune..

| | Microsoft Zune Hacks, Use your zune as a hard disk, transfer any file wirelessly | | As all of you zune owners (like myself) know, when you get your zune, you cannot transfer files to it through my computer, like you can with the ipod. Quite dissapointing. Ive found a way (on the internet) to get past this. Here's how:1. make sure your zune is not plugged in.
2. open up run, type regedt32, and hit enter.
3. HKEY_Local_Machine/system/controlset001/enum/usb
4. search for the zune (you will see your serial number, and microsoft as the publisher.
5. Change the following values: - Enable legacy to 1 - Portabledevicenameexcludefromshell to 0 - show in shell to 16. plug in your zune and your ready to go!
To transfer any file wirelessly, first you must do what i just said above.then, change any song name to.. (name of song).jpg
to make the zune think its a picture.Send it to your friend, have him load it onto his computer, and delete the.jpg from the file name.Done!
Have any other cool hacks? please post them on here!also, ask me questions on here as to how to do this, or ask me if i can do something else!
