| | How to deal with people speeding through your neighorhood? | | Well, here's my situation, We have had a detour through our neighborhood since July, it's now October and no sign of it ever ending. Tonight, I managed to cross the road to my neighbor's home to give her some baby clothes hangers, to only being hit my some idiot that sped up as he saw me. My kids haven't rode their bikes since May/June. Just to get out my driveway is irritating to the point I wish I had a bb gun. Believe me, I'm at that point of picking up rocks and throwing at the idiots that think 30 is to slow.Police has been called countless of times, they drive through here, some times will park their cars, even has the thingy that tells you your speed. Whoever is in charge of the construction hasn't let us know anything, which I believe we should know since we live here. Well, tonight I emailed the police chief, about this, along with the best times to have cops sit and watch. Since when they do park, they do it at hours when people are still at work. | | Just ordered costumes! | | I just ordered my Kids Halloween costumes online. My 4 1/2 year old wants to be Buzz lightyear so i ordered him that and i ordered a monkey costume for my 6 week old. I am so excited to see them in their costumes. They are going to look so cute. What are your kids going to be for Halloween? I always look at my kids candy, but I don't really know what I am looking for. I think it just makes me feel better. My husband says to just look for any open wrappers and throw out that candy. | | Special Back-to-Back Celebration: Autism, UN Day and Halloween | | Here's another accomplishment of my kids worth sharing. My kids just had their back-to-back celebration of the UN Day and the Halloween. Highlights of the program are as follows:United Nations Day Celebration: To avoid extra costs- the kids were not required to wear national costumes of the countries that they represent instead the teachers gave each a sash with their respective countries and flaglets. My youngest son who's in the mainstream program did a catwalk, modeled and introduced himself confidently. He was able to deliver his script clearly as Mr. Philippines and my eldest son who's still in the SPED program did the same thing too, as Mr. Japan. Although, he was not in the mood then because he was so sleepy, he did his best to participate. The teachers, parents and their classmates applauded both of them and were so happy about their performance. I was teary-eyed then and was so proud of my sons. They did a song and dance number too.Halloween: The teachers were creative enough not to let us spent much for this event. Our only share is two-bags of assorted candies for the kids "trick or treat". Again, the kids were not required to wear their Halloween costumes. The... | |
| | I'm a thief! | | Yup! I'm guilty! I admit it. I am a thief. That's right, that's what I said, I'm a thief! I have this really bad habit. I do it every year, I just can't resist.....I steal candy from my kids trick or treat stash! LOL! Oh, it's sooo yummy!

| | how was halloween for you | | well we managed to have a fun halloween me nd my 4 year old grandson, because we don't have kids in our street i decided that i should take my grandson out and give away treats to the best costumes, so we toured the streets looking for people who had the best costumes and gave them treats, my grandson made £12.00 in cash and a whole box full of sweets on his travels, then we popped into the local pub where they were having a kids halloween karaoke night, he won a toy gun and some sweets for best dressed kid under 5's, then we went to a fireworks display on the field close to my home, we sat and ate baked potatoes and sausages before we headed off home to watch some cartoons on dvd, because he was staying at my home, i allowed him to stay up later than usual...shhhhh don't tell mummy...[em]wink[/em] lol, well he stayed up for an extra hour, so it wasn't that late,he went to bed about 10pm, alkso because it was the weekend, we had so much fun on our little tour last night and he said to me this morning that he had a great time and wished it was halloween again tonight, the only thing we forgot was my camera, so we didn't get any pictures..[em]sad[/em]..so how did your halloween go... | |
