| | Do You Value Rich People over Poor???? | | We all have the power to choose what we deem important in this world. People choose that the wealthy are most important. Rich movie stars, singers, executives, politicians all carry people following them. Every year they name the world's richest people. Do you value the rich over the poor?? Is this what God really wants????We are all God's children so we are all equal in God's eyes. The homeless beggar on the street is every bit as good as the richest man. Have you listened to any beggars lately???? Why do people think they have nothing to say???? Everyone holds a different view. God gave us so many different views so that we could see a larger picture than any one person could. There is so much a person does not see in life. That's why we have each other. Could you be missing a point of view by only listening to the rich??Perhaps people value the rich because they want to be rich and hope to gain secrets. Being a truly wealthy person has very little to do with money. Spiritual wealth is really the only true wealth. If God sees all people as equal, maybe we should as well. Let's find out what we are missing. Who knows by interacting and maybe helping a poor person, you... | |
| | Just wanted to show you some of our flower beds | | Just wanted to share a flower and strawberry garden with all of you. When we sit at our kitchen table this is what we see out side our window. We have a lovely flower bed out side the front window too. When we open the front door all we smell is the beautiful smells of all the flowers God gave us to grow. This is a favorite smell of ours. It makes the house smell great when we leave the windows open. So what is your favorite smell? What makes your morning great? Do you have flowers in your yard? | | Do you think a teen is old enough to choose his own religion | | Teenagers, want the ability to make their own choices, however some parents feel that they are much to young to make a responsible choice about religion. However I disagree, I think at about 16 or so the child is ready to make an informed decision on what religion they will choose, and should be given the opportunity to explore it independantly of his or her parents. This may sound strange from a Christian Pastor, however when God gave us free will, he also gave us the ability to choose our religion, but he did not want you to simply come, he wanted you to study the word of God, question those teaching it, and to on your own come to the conclusion that you should and will follow God or not. Therefore I think that the process starts as a teen and throughout adulthood, learning about religion, or choosing no religion. While I would hope that the child would make the right choice, for my own children I gave them the choice because if I chose for them, then this would not be the same as giving their life to Christ because they believed and trusted in him unconditionally, it would be because I told them to. | | Do we humans have a free will? | | Do we? there are a few theories that say we do,the religious one for example: God gave us free will, we choose to make good or bad, others say we don't, the theory of destiny, or the fact the we make choices by what our experience from the past tells us to do, so do we have the ability to choose or we do not infact decide for ourselves?
