I don't know if they are any other sites/stores that sell them, but I stumbled upon this while I was doing some online shopping, and noticed that there are 5 different types of Hexbugs.
They are the CUTEST little things, they respond to sound and interaction, like clapping, snapping your fingers, and with each other I believe. I purchased 4 to give to my little cousins (which are all in the same family) and luckily, they will also get their favorite colors, and get something they don't have to FIGHT over. They'll each get one, and can play nicely (yeah right![em]whistle[/em]).
Another reason I thought these would be great little gifts, is because the youngest is having a little trouble in school, preschool, so the basic problem of hand eye coordination, as well as being lazy, and when I say this, I mean, "I want to watch YOU do it.", "Not fully participating in exercises and activities" is a response we got on his last report card.
SO, I'm trying to help to change that to make it fun, and to also encourage the other kids to involve him in play time, and to "properly" teach him to do things on his own...and hopefully they don't keep falling for the, "I'll... | |
| | Christmas Gifts To Kids | | [b]Well, Christmas is near and time for gift-giving again. I am sort of financially hard up right now but I think I can manage to give a few gifts. First on my list are the kids. I do not have children yet but i officially (LOL!) do have four nephews, one niece, about ten godchildren and around two little girls I am friends with. Now, i cannot decide if i just give them a little envelope with cash so that they can buy whatever they want or do i shop for toys or clothes for them. which do you think is better? or cheaper? what about you, what are you planning to give to the kids?have a great day![em]lol[/em]

We have another birthday party to go to tomorrow so I had to go buy another gift. I usually try to spend like $10-$15 for each child that I have to buy a gift for. My son is only a year old and has been invited to so many birthday parties already...it's crazy. I guess it doesn't help though that we have lots of family and lots of friends either LOL. | | How do you buy gifts for your kids/grand kids? | | HOw do you decide what to buy your child or grand child for Christmas or their birthday? I mean, do you just ask them what they want and go buy it? Do you buy them what you want them to have, think they should have? Do you buy just what is the popular toy/item at the time? My 7 yo old GD made me think about this. SHe has been stressing about some other things, and to distract her a little I asked her about Santa, did she write to him, what did she ask him for. She said she did write a letter and asked for a Baby Alive. That was all?, I asked. She said "yes. I have been asking for a Baby Alive for christmas, this year, I asked for it last christmas and for my birthday and no one will get me one. They keep buying me video games nad movies and things, but all I really want is a Baby Alive doll."
Okay, so you now know what I am getting her for christmas, but I know her mom is getting her a Wii, and daddy, he just spends a ton of money on things like a quad and dirt bike and air hockey tables nad more expensive things that is really waht he likes. Mom tries to keep up with the times, ergo the wii. Basically they buy her what they want her to have that is also in their interests.... | |
