| What is the Diffrerence between Santa Claus and Father Christmas? | | I have no clue what the difference is other than a lot of Euorpian countires call santa father christma. Or so I thought. Is there a difference? or is there some story behind Fahter Christmas? I know the story of Santa Claus, but not father christmas. any one know? What about other countries is there a similar old fat dude giving gifts to kids? I remember from childhood a freind who was from Holland who put wooden shoes on the front porach for goodies, bu I dont rember much more than that. Any one? | |
| | How I am going to tell my son that Father Christmas does not exist? | | My eight year old son still believes that Father Christmas really exists. About three years ago he really wanted to call Santa’s and my father in law picked up the second telephone set and spoke to him as if he was Santa Claus. My son asked him when he is going to call him again and my father in law said “when you are eight years old”. Now that my son is 8 yrs old, he is waiting this Christmas with great anticipation, thinking that Father Christmas will call him again! How I am going to tell my son that Father Christmas does not exist?

my children and 2 and 3 years old and stil think that santa clause is coming which i think is great it all adds the magic of christmas in my eyes | |

| Where is father christmas from? | | Did you know santa clause lived in Turkey? I always thought he would be someone lived in one of those scandiwanian countries. But actually, he lived in city of Antalya, turkey. He used to give presents to little kids just to make them happy. So he was a real person. No, he didn't enter the houses through chimneys:) | |

Me? I was around 10. I actually don't remember how I found out. No, there weren't disappointments. I guess I just kinda knew...when my bright shiny bike wasn't under our tree.:) I guess I just grew out of it. But that was a fun time. I remember I always wrote him letters and then around midnight my brothers would hand me my present saying it's from Santa and I'd ask where he was and they said he just left.:) God, I was gullible! | |
