| Cinco de Mayo party foods | | I do alot of cooking. When I cook, I often make things out of scratch. We are having a party at my job for Cinco de Mayo, and I need to bring a dish to eat. I don't want to make something from scratch to take to work. Does anyone have any ideas for any festive dishes that I could bring that are fast and inexpensive? | |
| | Children and Pop/Soda | | I have a 5 year old and I do not allow her to drink pop. I feel that the longer I can control this, the better. Last week at daycare, they had a cinco de mayo party and another classmate brought 7-Up. So...my daughter ended up having her first taste of pop and she liked it. My ex called the daycare and told them never again because we don't allow her to drink pop. So my question is, first...do you let your young kids drink pop, and second...do you think it's appropriate for a daycare center to serve pop to children? | |

| wtf? Hres 230, recognizing cinco de mayo | | Here you go gang, the house of represenatives earning their pay and making good use of our tax dollars that pay their sallery. House Resolution 238, a bill recognizing the importance of Cinco de Mayo. I don't know whether to laugh or express outrage at this collosal waste of valuable legislative time. though, I supose the more time they spend on stupid stuff like this, the less time they can spend wrecking the country. Though my larger concern is this is one more step in gaining the acceptence of Mexican culture as our culture.
