Now in my own home we make different ornaments each year and keep the nicest of them for following years to come. Each child keeps one of their own handmade ornaments to take when they leave home. | | I made Christmas ornaments this year | | This year things have been so tight that I haven't been able to do much Christmas shopping so I decided to make a few gifts instead. I always hesitate to give Christmas ornaments as gifts since I know they get packed away almost immediately for another year but figured it would be better than no gifts at all for my sister in laws. | | Do you like Christmas ornaments? I normally don't bother | | I think the ornament is so cute. I just happened to see this as browsing. My daughter will graduate the 8th grade in June. This won't be good for that season. However it's just the cuteness to add to my collection. I have over 100 ty beanie babies. I may have to show you friends one day. | |
| | Memorable gifts.... | | What is your most memorable gift that you ever received whether it be for Christmas or another occasion....I would say that mine would have to be a blanket that my kids (with husbands help) made me for my birthday. It is a fleece blanket with frogs on it that they decided to cut and tie the edges. I love that they put so much time and love into and what made it extra special was how they managed to get it down without me ever knowing LOL.... | |

| What crafting hobbies do you dabble in? | | I am a stay at home mother and I just recently quit smoking, and with winter coming I am looking for something to keep myself busy while the kids are at school and I am here by myself. I have dabbled in crocheting but only know the one basic stitch, I have a sewing machine but haven't really done much with it only because I am not sure as to any ideas with it yet. I wish I was more crafty but just never have seemed to find anything that sticks with me. I have a whole separate room that I can dedicate to crafts but I just don't have anything in mind to do. I was wondering what type of crafts you may dabble into or would like to if you had the chance? | |
