Discuss holiday items, ideas, and cheer! | | Do you ever receive wrapped christmas gift, still with price tag inside? | | And do you casually mention it to the giver? Or, its not a big deal at all and simply ignore it? Oftentimes I just ignored an incident, but what makes it significant this time was that during the recent holidays, I received a total of 5 (different) wrapped gifts with price tags! Whatever happened to the givers? Were they all really in a hurry that they forgot to remove the price tags? Personally, I am very careful with simple things like this and really, really make sure I do not include the price tag. How about you? Do you or you don't mind at all? | |

It's microfiber, so it's extremely soft. And it actually has a 3-hour timer. So I have a peace of mind knowing that when I go to sleep with it on, it shuts off in three hours and it won't start a fire in my house.;) | |

| | christmas gift | | This is something my daughter got my son for christmas this year, a castle we had to put together and then he can color it. It is big enough for him to sit in, though he is too big to sleep in it. So I thought I would share this and maybe in a year or two, I will post the finished colored castle...lol | |

He's already worn down an entire six pack of AA batteries in it. I think I need to go to the store and find some more rechargables for him. He also loves his Bounceback Racer (another toy that he has already worn out the batteries in). And, with a little bit of his Christmas money he bought a toy helicopter thing that he really likes as well.For Kathryn it is the Razor scooter that Santa Claus brought for her. | | Which do you think is the best Christmas gift for a kid? money?toys or clothes? | | In this yuletide season, it has been the tradition of my family to have a reunion by spending our time together in our family house on the 31st of December for the new year.This is the time wherein my brothers and sisters are together again.Before, we were still young and we were usually the ones receiving gifts, but now that we're married, we are the ones giving gifts to our nieces and nephews.Before, we were the ones playing in the games but now we are the ones initiating it.I only see my nephews and nieces once or twice a year so I want to give a present or gift (even simple ones) to them during our reunion?Which do you think is the best Christmas Gift for a kid? | | A Great Christmas Gift... | | I wanted to share one of my Christmas gifts here b/c I think it's a really neat gift. Back in 1996 (13 years ago) I made a cross stitch picture for my stepdad's mom. It was a picture of an angel sitting on clouds and had a poem with it that went something like this:Above my bed,
Where no one can see,
My guardian angel,
Watches over me.The picture hung over her bed from the day I gave it to her. Well, she passed away several months ago and one of her sons took everything she owned and sold it off. It turns out that my stepdad snagged the picture before his brother took everything and he gave it to me as a Christmas gift. He said he thought it should come back to who it came from. I think it's so great that something I made so long ago and that touched someones life has come back to me. By the way, I intend to clean it and hang it in my home:)Have you ever gotten something back years after you gave it? Did you ever make something that really touched someone else's life?
