| Do you keep the Birthday cards you get? | | I have the habit of keeping all my birthday cards and like to go through them once in a while. The friends who gave you cards on your last birthday may not give you cards on your next birthday. It is nice to go through the cards and thik about the friendship. Do you have this habit? | |

She is really good at what she does and we were talking about her trying to sell them on line. My question is how many people would be interested in something like that? | | Do you buy birthday cards or do you make your own? | | Tonight I need to make a shopping trip after I get finished babysitting. I will get paid of course and I need to make a trip for two things. Certain brushes for a lesson plan for my preschool students and I need to buy a birthday card for my grandfather. His birthday is this Saturday and I'm going home for it.I hate buying birthday cards for several reasons. One, I can never find one that I really like that I think they'll like and two, I hate how expensive some of those cards can be. I've noticed that some cards run about $3 or more and I can't figure out exactly why they're so expensive! Sure they do have cheaper cards available but those aren't always that cheap either. I'm beginning to wonder if I'd just be better off making my own cards. However I don't have a computer print program to make that a possibility.Do you buy or make birthday cards? Are you like me and tend to stick to the cheaper end of the spectrum or do you just go all out and buy whatever card you think they'll enjoy the most? | |
| | Do you preserve the birthday cards you receive? | | I do preserve all the cards i receive, unmindful of what occasion it may denote. I preserve them so that one day when i look at them leisurely i recall all the golden moments of love and affection that i lived.My friend has an even better way of acknowledging the love. He frames the cards that he loves most and puts them in the hall of his home. Also he preserves the gifts he receive and puts them in the showcase in his home hall. Its a really exciting feeling when i go to his home and watch some of my cards and gifts there.How about you? Share your experience and feelings. | |

| | Do you save birthday cards? | | I have to be honest, I don't. The card is either a prequel to a present or it is the present. After I've opened one or the other the card gets tossed. I don't like keeping stuff like that, it just become clutter. The sender won't ever ask to see the card so I just discard. Do you keep the card? | | Do you send birthday cards to everyone in your family? To your friends? | | I can't tell you how many times I've bought a birthday card and forgotten to send it! All good intentions are there but it happens more times than I like to admit. I think the only person who definitely gets a card from me every year without fail is my 82 year old mom. Since there is nothing that can be bought for her she really does enjoy the birthday cards. This year I sent her one that when you open it plays "roll out the barrel"...a very old song from her time and she was so thrilled with it she called people on the phone and played it for them...lol...that was better than anything anyone could have given her for a gift.I also usually remember to send my granddaughter a card especially if there isn't going to be a birthday party where I can just hand it to her. I know how much she enjoys them and my daughter has been keeping all of her birthday cards since she was a year old!Do you send birthday cards to your family and friends? | Do you save birthday cards, Anniversary cards, etc..? For how long? | | I have a bad habit of saving things like this. I save for quite a bit of time, which I found to be a good thing recently when my grandmother died. I was able to go back through things and find the things she had given to me and now I have some great cards and things to reminisce. How about you do you save this stuff and for how long? | |
