Do you like Reeses Peanutbutter cups? Well you have got to try these. OMG!!
Peanut Butter Squares (Betty Crocker's Best Christmas book - these taste just like Reeses Peanutbutter Cups!) 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar 1 cup graham cracker crumbs 1/2 cup butter or margarine 1/2 cup peanut butter 1 cup chocolate chips optional - sprinkles or candy decorationsCombine powdered sugar and cracker crumbs in medium bowl. In a 1-quart saucepan over low heat melt butter and peanut butter together, stirring ocasionally until melted. Stir into crumb mixture. Press into ungreased 8x8x2 pan. In the same saucepan melt chocolate chips, stirring frequently to keep from burning. Spread chocolate over peanutbutter mixture and immediately sprinkle with candy decorations or sprinkles if using. Let set a few minutes then use a butter knife to draw lines to to separate pieces - this will make it much easier to cut later. Refridgerate 30 mins or until firm. Cut into squares and keep stored in the fridge. Very easy and awesome! You can also make peanutbutter bon bons with this by shaping peanutbutter mix into balls instead of putting it into the square pan and then dipping them into chocolate. YUM!
I think i have been possessed by Betty Crocker..
No i don't think i really possessed, but i am acting out of character. Most of the meals and desserts i make come out of a box. I have never been much for cooking, but at times i would bake things from scratch, but not often. In the last month and a half i have made mozzarella chicken, potato soup, applesauce cookies, peppermint bark, and chocolate covered peppermint patties, all from scratch. Tomorrow i plan on making brownies from scratch. Thats more cooking than i usually do in a year. So do you ever have times when you just feel like cooking and making things from scratch? Do you like to cook or are you usually like me and most of the things you eat are frozen or in a box??
betty crocker cookbooks
does anyone on mylot collect betty crocker cookbooks? or another kind of cookbook? tell us!
Do you save the Betty Crocker Points on the side or tops of food boxes?
I have seen them before but I just didnt think to save them. But then I was thinking today and I thought I will go to the website and who knows as much food as we mothers and people buy I might be able to redeem for some good stuff I can use.I didnt othet times becuase it seemed like a pain especially to cut the points out.But I might get a coupon box and store my points in their. That way the are not cluttering anything like envelope would do.I need to start saving the box top points for schools too. That way I can be helping schools get stuff they need or to replace something that is old and needs replaced.
I just got a betty crocker "bake n fill" any recipe ideas?
I just got a REAL oven (a nice wirlpool to be exact) And i found my unopened betty crocker "bake n fill" kit. And i want to use it so any recipe ideas? ALSO NOTE: I live in ireland which is currently in the stone age so i can't get the packets you buy at costco.
Betty Crocker?
Do you cook and bake from scratch or do you buy store made items? I love to cook and bake for my family. I know when I worked I never had time but now I do and I enjoy it. I am diabetic and have to watch my weight so I tell them to bring the ingrediants and I will fix it as long as they take it home so I am not tempted.
betty crocker
one day the husband comes home and finds his wife complaining about everything. she points him to the light in the hall and asks him to fix it, he replies "what do I look like to you a con edison" worker? then she goes to the refrigirator and asks him to fix the door, he says what am I a G&E operator?" He gets upset and leaves the house to go get beer in a bar. when he comes home, he sees that the light is fine and the refrigerator door opens fine, so he goes to his wife and asks "what happened? everything works" and she says, "well when you left i sat on the porch crying and this nice gentleman approached me and asked me what was wrong, i told him and he said that he'll fix everything but i either gotta bake a cake for him or have sex with him" then the husband asks " so what kinda cake did you bake him?" she says "do I look like betty crocker?"
i just e-mailed Duncan Hines and.....
hello all of my good friend's here at Mylot.i just e-mailed Duncan Hines and i told them that i would never purchase another one of their cake mixes. that was the kind of chocolate cake that i had first used today when preparing my first teddy bear cake. so if they do send me a coupon for a free cake mix, i am going to rip in into shreds. lol right? stupid cake mix. the best cake mix that i have found to use when baking a cake is first Pillsbury. and my second choice is of course Betty Crocker cake mixes. that is what that i have in the oven now while that my second cake is baking is a Betty Crocker cake mix.so tell me, which cake mix do you prefer to use when baking a cake?thanks for sharing and have a beautiful evening.
don't toss out that old cookbook!
My old Betty Crocker Cookbook had seen better days. I have had it for about 25 years and have tried many of the recipes. The cover fell off, some pages were missing, the pages that were favorite recipes were stained and torn. Although I have many cookbooks to choose from that one was my favorite.Well this year I decided I needed a new one and purchased it when it went on sale. I love the way the new one lays flat when you have it open. There is no need to weight the pages down or prop it up so it can be read while you are viewing the recipe. To my surprise though I looked for my doughnut recipe in the new book and it wasn't there. Frantically I ran to the bookshelf in search of my old tattered book. Thankfully it was still there! I whipped up a double batch of my favorite doughnut recipe. If you'd like the recipe send me a message and I will give it to you. So, remember to check that old cookbook for your favorite recipes and copy them for safe keeping. Your next cookbook may not have the recipe you are so fond of!
See what I got free today
I had To go renew my tags on my van today. I paid twelve dollars more than normal. So, I can get the handicap tag. So, I do not have to put the handicap ticket in the window all the time. After I did that, I took Little M to the store with me. We had a coupons for a free Betty Crocker product like Gushers or Fruit by the foot gummy candies. I happen to notice it was also buy one get one free. So we got two boxes and did not have to pay anything for them ---- FREE. Little M also had a coupon for a free cheese pizza from Papa John's for perfect attendance in school. So, we stopped and got it for him. The cashier gave my son a FREE bottle of coke....FREE..what a great bonus. What a perfect way to spend the day and be able to teach my son a little more on how to use coupons to get things free or at least close to being free. Do you like getting free things in the mail? What kind of things do you like to get free in the mail? I blog about freebies, deals and contests so others can get freebies in thei mil to.
