| | I wish you a 'MERRY CHRISTMAS' | | I am sure many are already in christmas mood now as in a couple of days we will be celebrating this joyous festival. Everyone especially the christians are now busy preparing to celebrate this special occasion according to their home grown traditions. As usual we in Malaysia are gearing towards a big bash for this religious festival by having open houses to cater for well wishers who comes to join in the festivity. It is a normal practice in many Malaysian christian homes to prepare foods in large quantities to cater for well-wishers who come in from morning to dawn. There will be free flow of foods and drinks for all to enjoy. Christmas is the only day that I meet unfamiliar faces in my house as everyone regardless of known or unknown are welcome to our christmas open house. This is something unique in our Malaysian style of celebrating any religious festivals. It is free for all. I do not know where else in this world do they have this sort of 'open houses'. How do you celebrate your christmas in your home or country?[em]happy[/em] | |

| We Wish You A Merry Christmas provided that you are NOT: | | A lesbian, female bishop in the Episcopalian church. The Episcopalian church's decision to ordain the Reverend Mary Glasspool as a suffragan Bishop in Los Angeles has really upset the Anglican community. But does it matter? At best the Anglican community is a loose federation of churches ranging from the extreme evangelical to Anglo-Catholic and at worst a disparate group of self serving populist "churches". If christianity is your bag is the ordination of a lesbian bishop a step too far? Or an wonderful example of diversity being embraced by the church? | |
| | I wish you all Merry Christmas if you like it or not | | I am just so mad. My daughter who is 5 learned in school about several different religions and holidays celebrated in America and around the world. But not one thing about Santa or Jesus. Then I here on the news about people not being able to put anything that represent Santa or Jesus in public places, like colleges, malls, or political places of business. We are suppose to say happy holidays now. Well that is all well and good, fine. Well I wish anyone and every freaking body a happy holiday no matter what day of the year it is. But don't tell me I can't say Merry Christmas. Don't teach my child about holidays of this time a year without putting Jesus or Santa but do everything else! I am so mad right now, I could spit bullets.
So to everyone around the world, I wish you happy holidays this time of year and any other time of the year that you have a holiday. But today as Christmas is coming, I say loudly MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! And hope you have a happy New Year. | |
